Valeria Garrido-Salas, M.A.

Valeria Garrido Salas is a doctoral candidate and research and teaching fellow in Political Science and International Relations at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, affiliated with the Chair of International Organizations. She conducts her doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Kreuder-Sonnen.

Her research is situated within International Relations, with a focus on global governance, international organizations, and the evolving dynamics of multilateral cooperation. She is particularly interested in how domestic political processes, such as populism, shape international cooperation and institutional behavior.
She holds a B.A in International Relations from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador (PUCE), where she contributed to research projects on foreign policy analysis, and a M.A in Comparative Politics from Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales (FLACSO Ecuador).
