A warm welcome to the teaching research page! We are delighted to take you on a journey through the teaching research projects at the ‘Qualitative Methods and Microsociology’ research group at the Institute of Sociology, Friedrich Schiller University Jena. Teaching research is a specialised module (BASOZ 51 in the module catalogueExternal link): Students are given the opportunity to independently carry out an empirical – in this case qualitative – research project within a research group. This encompasses theoretical and empirical conceptualisation, as well as sociological reflection on data selection, collection and analysis.
