Janina Wollmann, M.A.

Janina Wollmann is a socilogist and has been working since 2025 as a research associate in the Department of Methods of Empirical Social Research and Social Structure Analysis and on SFB sub-project B06, ‘Property Inequality in the Private Sphere: Couple-Internal and External Drivers of Change in Property Arrangements in Couple Relationships’.

Previously, as a research assistant at the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society (IDZ) in Jena from 2023 to 2024, she produced an interim report on the implementation of the recommendations of the NSU inquiry committees, focusing on the areas of the judiciary, the police and the promotion of democracy. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Psychology and her Master’s degree in Sociology, specialising in ‘Gender Relations in Modern Societies’, at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena. In her research, she examined the situation of single mothers in Germany with regard to their property arrangements and precarious living conditions. In addition to her focus on gender relations, Janina Wollmann works on the topics of right-wing extremism and terrorism, democracy-building, displacement, asylum and anti-discrimination.
