Information from the (university) chair of Social Psychology

• 1. Which events are tendered and which are cancelled?

  • All events are tendered
  • There are special formats for empras & project seminars
  • The respective lecturers are in direct contact with the students for this purpose
• 2. Which examinations can be taken?

  • We have to drive on sight and reassess the situation every fortnight (as of today, 22 April 2020). The (university) chair follows the guidelines of the FSU Jena.
  • Face-to-face examinations will only be held if absolutely necessary and in compliance with hygiene regulations.
  • Minor subject repeat exam WiSe 2019/20 (original date 07.04.2020):
    The invigilated written examination|exam is expected to take place this summer semester. Participants will be contacted as soon as more detailed information is available.
  • Major subject exam & minor subject exam SoSe2020 (original dates 21.07.2020 & 29.09.2020):
    The invigilated written examinations|exams are expected to take place on the planned dates, in compliance with the hygiene regulations.
• 3. How can students prepare for the coming semester?

  Students are advised to

  • register for their courses on Friedolin
  • access Moodle regularly à Moodle is used as a teaching and learning platform
  • to check their emails (@uni-jena.de) more often
  • access the (university) chair's homepage à information is updated regularly

  Admissions to courses (e.g. master's seminars) are decided individually for each course.

• 4. How would you like to communicate with the students?

  • The course|classes take place online

  Lecturers will reply within a few working days
  Important: Always state the course and your request in the subject line, e.g. "In-depth seminar course A - your request"

• 5. How are the three missing weeks to be made up within the semester?

  • Teaching is limited to the core content, so there is nothing to catch up on
  • Students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge through independent study|self-directed learning|self-study
• 6. How can bachelor's or master's dissertations be written in the current time?

  • Bachelor's and master's dissertations are supervised in consultation with the individual teaching staff
• 7. What impact do the current restrictions have on Empra groups?

  • Empra Schneider: Switch to PsychoPy instead of E-Prime 3
  • Final congress is organised centrally via the (university) chair of General II
