The Chair of International Organizations is launching the new DFG-funded research project PANDEQUITY, which examines equity in global health emergencies. Led by Prof. Dr. Christian Kreuder-Sonnen together with Dr. Pedro A. Villarreal (German Institute for International and Security Affairs, Berlin), the project investigates how different understandings of equity shape the development of global health law and global health governance. Through an interdisciplinary approach, PANDEQUITY brings together perspectives from International Relations, international law, and global health research to generate new insights into international cooperation during health crises.
With the launch of the project, we also welcome Franziska Schwebel as a new research associate and doctoral candidate at the Chair of International Organizations. Her research lies at the intersection of global health governance, social justice, and international organizations, with a particular focus on political negotiation processes surrounding equity.
We look forward to our collaboration and wish Franziska a successful start at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, as well as exciting insights and discoveries throughout the PANDEQUITY project.
