Abgeschlossenes Projekt:

Die Transformation globaler öffentlicher Güter und die Zukunft globaler Ökosysteme

Das Projekt untersucht die Eigentumsordnungen von Naturressourcen, indem es die konzeptuelle und institutionelle Struktur globaler öffentlicher Güter im Sinne des internationalen Rechts sowie deren regulatorische Rahmenbedingungen aus einer eigentumsrechtlichen Perspektive analysiert. Es setzt sich kritisch mit der Frage auseinander, ob das Konzept der globalen öffentlichen Güter dafür geeignet ist, akute Probleme wie den Klimawandel, den Verlust der Biodiversität und den Abbau globaler Ökosysteme zu bewältigen, und ob es den distributiven und ökologischen Ansprüchen der betroffenen Naturressourcen gerecht werden kann. Weiterhin befasst sich das Vorhaben mit den Möglichkeiten und Implikationen einer Neudefinition globaler öffentlicher Güter, die auch Ressourcendomänen innerhalb und jenseits nationaler Zuständigkeitsgrenzen einschließt.
