Submission Types
For the VoiceID 2026, you can make three types of submissions: talks, posters, and flash-talks.
- Talks: Talks are scheduled to last 15 minutes (+ 5 minutes discussion)
- Posters: Poster sessions will last approximately 1h 15min. At least one poster author must be present at the poster for the full duration of the session. Poster sessions will be held on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 of September.
- Flash-Talks: Flash-talks are only 5 minutes long (3-4 minutes of presentation + 1 question). They are an excellent opportunity to pitch a new project, tool, dataset, or idea to a large audience and invite interested individuals to an in-depth discussion in the coffee-breaks or over lunchtime
To maximize the quality of interaction and discussion on location in Jena, there will be no option to present talks online.
Please note that slots for talks are limited. Therefore, submissions for talks may be accepted as posters or as flash-talks. If you do not wish to give a poster or a flash-talk as an alternative to a talk, this can be indicated on submission.
Information required for the abstract submission:
- Full author list: name, email address, affiliation
- Nomination of presenting author
- Title of presentation
- Abstract text: 250 words maximum
- Keywords: up to 5
- Presentation preference: talk, flash-talk, poster
- Presentation flexibility: talk only, optional flash talk or poster
- Agreement with VoiceID in-person presentation policy: At least one author must be on-location in Jena to give the presentation. Talks and posters without presenters will be withdrawn from the final program.
