Initiating and promoting participation through digital tools

This online course focuses on practical and inspiring ways to actively foster participation in schools and classrooms using digital tools and to make this experience tangible for students. The goal is to provide teachers with specific digital tools and methods that can be used to integrate participation into their lessons in a sustainable way. The course begins with an overview of key concepts and terminology related to participatory classroom cultures. As the course progresses, the focus shifts to practical implementation. You’ll learn about selected digital tools that enable you to actively engage students, give voice to their opinions, and design learning processes based on dialogue. The course thus combines theoretical insights with concrete examples of digital applications and supports you in effectively applying the tools presented to your own teaching practice.

Finally, you will have the opportunity to synthesize key insights and reflect on your experiences.

The online course “Participatory Classroom Design” is freely accessible. The direct link takes you straight to the course page on the Virtual Campus Thuringia (VCT). Upon successful completion of the course, you have the option to receive a certificate of participation.
