#Next Step - your future, your path, your look ahead
State-wide survey on study choices among young people in Thuringia
In a state-wide online survey, pupils in years 11 and 12 in Thuringia are asked about their future plans after leaving school. The aim of the survey is to identify key personal, social, institutional and regional influencing factors that determine the decision|ruling|judgement in favour of or against studying, the choice of degree) subject/traineeship and the place of study or training. In addition, in the spirit of a participatory approach, the target group will be asked directly about their ideas on what makes Thuringia attractive to young people as a place to study, live and work. In addition to providing important findings for basic research into young people's future career planning, the results will also provide impetus for regional and (educational) policy, with the perspectives of young people being explicitly taken into account.
The project is being carried out in cooperation with the Vice President's Office for Studies & Teaching at Friedrich Schiller University.
