    Johanna Andres studiert derzeit an der FSU im Masterstudiengang Klinische Psychologie und Psychotherapie. Ihr Bachelorstudium hat sie ebenfalls in Jena absolviert. Seit Mai 2025 ist sie als studentische Hilfskraft am Lehrstuhl tätig und unterstützt Mathilde Gallistl bei ihren Forschungsprojekten.

    Daniel Bruins studiert derzeit Psychologie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Seit Mitte 2025 ist er am Lehrstuhl für Klinische Psychologie tätig. Er unterstützt Dr. Marcel Franz bei der Optimierung und Erweiterung der POL-Fälle für das klinische Seminar im Bachelor-Studiengang.

    Grainne studiert seit dem Wintersemester 2023/24 Psychologie B. Sc. an der FSU Jena. Seit Sommer 2025 ist sie als studentische Hilfskraft am Lehrstuhl für Klinische Psychologie beschäftigt. Dort unterstützt sie vor allem Sarah Weißhart bei ihrer Forschung im Bereich Geruch und Emotionen, indem sie bei der Datenerhebung und Betreuung von Probanden hilft.

    Anne-Katrin Hofbauer studiert derzeit im fünften Semester Psychologie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Seit Januar 2026 unterstützt sie den Lehrstuhl für Klinische Psychologie als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin und ist in das Forschungsprojekt "TouchNet" eingebunden. Sie kümmert sich um die Rekrutierung von Probanden und unterstützt bei der Durchführung der Studie.

    Ronja Rosnau studiert Psychologie im 5. Bachelorsemester an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität. Sie unterstützt den Lehrstuhl für Klinische Psychologie bei der Recherche, Organisation und Redaktion des erfolgreichen Podcasts "Kopf Kompass". Sie interessiert sich besonders für psychische Störungen, deren Behandlung und deren Einbettung in einen gesellschaftspolitischen Kontext.

    Anna-Lena Wühr studiert derzeit Psychologie an der Friedrich-Schiller-Universität Jena. Seit April 2024 kann sie Sarah in der Studie "A Sniff of Family" im Rahmen des Projekts "Body Odour Sensory-Chemical Profiling - From Newborns to Adults" und Vanessa im Projekt "Social Interactions" unterstützen. Dadurch erhält sie einen Einblick in die spannende Welt der Gerüche sowie umfangreiche Kenntnisse in der Forschung mit neuronalen und verhaltensbezogenen Synchronisationsprozessen. In ihrer Freizeit genießt sie es, ihrer Kreativität freien Lauf zu lassen und sich um ihre Pflanzen zu kümmern.

Former interns at the Department of Clinical Psychology​

  • Laura Ahrendt

    Laura Ahrendt decided, after training as a tax clerk and 2 years of  professional experience, to start her psychology studies here in Jena  in order to spend a long time doing something that inspires her.  Looking for a focus of interest, she would like to gain knowledge and  support the team in their work as an intern, in the psychotherapeutic  outpatient clinic and at the chair.

    I am a recent graduate from the department of Psychology of Akdeniz University in 2022 as the second best student in my Faculty of Literature. I came to the University of Jena to do an internship for three months with an Erasmus scholarship.

  • Tanja Fankhauser

    Tanja Maria Fankhauser comes from Tyrol, where she works as a medical technician in the allergy outpatient clinic of Univ. Dr. Heinz Kofler.

    She is studying psychology at the Hamburger Fernhochschule and will start her training as a psychotherapist in autumn.

    For her internship she came to our institute in Jena to dive into the world of olfactory research.

  • Robin Nelson

    My name is Robin Nelson, I study math, statistics, and psychology at the University of Utah. I am from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, and am here in the department as a research intern for the summer. Math has always been my passion since I was young. When I got older, I took an interest in psychology and decided to study statistics and psychology at my university, as the two subjects complement each other well. In my free time I do ballet, gymnastics, and play the piano!

    After my Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Tilburg, I joined the University of Jena for my Master's degree.

    Due to my great interest in research, I am looking forward to supporting the chair in its research projects until mid-October 2022.

Former Visiting Scientists at the Departement of Clinical Psycology

  • Nooshin Javaheripour

    Nooshin Javaheripour, a psychology graduate, currently works as a researcher at the Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at University Hospital Jena and the clinical psychology department at Friedrich-Schiller University Jena. Her doctoral research is dedicated to investigating alterations in the functional and structural organizations of the brain in individuals with major depressive disorder. Additionally, she explores how ketamine, as a rapid antidepressant, can modulate the neural circuits of the brain. Her overarching goal is to contribute to the optimization of diagnostic methods and the enhancement of mental health.

  • Dr. Mehmet Mahmut

    Dr Mem Mahmut is a lecturer and researcher in psychology who is the co-Director of the Food, Flavour and Fragrance Lab at Macquarie University, Australia. Dr Mahmut received a Freiraum Fellowship and will be based within our department from July to November to conduct research with Prof. Dr Ilona Croy. The research will investigate the extent each sense (touch, smell, vision, audition) is involved in mate attraction and whether our physical and physiological responses are synchronised when two people are attracted to each other.
